Welcome to the Ninth Durham University Earth Sciences Conference
Celebrating excellence in our research
The Durham University Earth Sciences Conference will be held on Weds 8th June 2022 in teaching rooms 1–3, on level two of the Arthur Holmes Building. All members of the Department and the Science Faculty are encouraged to participate.
The oral presentations will be given by the Level 4 students, as summative presentations of research projects. Everyone is encouraged to present a poster on any aspect of their work, whether it be an undergraduate assignment/dissertation or a presentation given at an academic conference.
We will also run a Lightning talk competition, open to all. Can you summarise your PhD, undergraduate dissertation, or current research project with a strict limit of three minutes and one PowerPoint slide?

The conference will host a range of industrial exhibitors, who will be available to discuss career opportunities and more. Confirmed exhibitors for 2022 include:
